Differences of opinion, time management and task allocation, it’s not always easy to work in a group. To help you work well as a team, we’ve listed our top tips below and we’ll explain how to use scribzee! 🤗

Having a common goal

For a group to function properly, you need to establish a well-defined common objective. This means that everyone in the group must have a clear understanding of what you’re all trying to achieve together! Whether it’s a maths, French or history assignment, clearly defining the objective is a key step to remember for your dream team. You can write down the rules set out by your teacher for the assignment in a notebook .

Why not create a workgroup on your phone, so you can keep up to date with progress or communicate with the other team members if you have any questions or problems!

Choosing your team

If you can choose your group members, don’t necessarily choose your friends. Even if you like them, it’s not always the best idea… In fact, to concentrate and work effectively, it’s best to surround yourself with serious, reliable people. And don’t forget to choose your team members based on the complementary nature of the participants – it’s ideal!

And even if you’re not free to choose your team members, it’s always an opportunity to discover new people and, who knows, maybe even new ways of working? 😉

Sharing the work

Once everyone is clear about the common goal, the second step is to divide the work up properly. To do this, several criteria need to be taken into account:

  • the time you have available;
  • the skills of each individual;
  • the volume of work involved.

To get everyone involved, it’s important to share the work fairly! Taking everyone’s skills into account is also useful for making the final result as polished as possible! For example, if someone is a good speller, they may be asked to proofread the assignment.

Hints and tips: to distribute the work among all the members of the group, you can write down all the tasks on a sheet of paper and use highlighters!

💡 And why not appoint a manager! This can be useful for making sure that everyone is progressing correctly with their tasks, or for organising meetings. The role of a manager should not be taken lightly, as they often work a little harder than the rest of the group. They must therefore be motivated and willing to spend a little more time on the group project.

Managing your time

Another factor to take into account is time management! Keep in mind the deadline for your work, so that you can divide the tasks according to the time you have available and avoid doing everything last minute.

You and your team can draw up a schedule to help you get organised! To keep track of everyone’s progress, set yourself intermediate deadlines. For example, if you have a month to hand your work in, you can review everyone’s progress every Monday. The best thing is to hold regular, shorter meetings to get everyone involved. It’s important to get straight to the point and, above all, to prepare what you want to say before these weekly meetings! That way, you’ll avoid dragging things out and wasting time.

💡 Also take everyone’s schedules into account. One of you may have commitments that won’t allow you to spend as much time on the assignment at any given time, and that’s ok! By adapting to everyone’s constraints, you’ll avoid the unexpected!

➡️ On scribzee, you can group your lessons in your calendar and access your notes directly from there. You can write down the due date of your group work and attach the relevant notes!

Sharing notes on scribzee

Last but not least, use scribzee! This application lets you share your notes with your friends in just a few clicks! If we stick to the Monday date for a piece of work due in a month, you can decide to send yourself your progress using scribzee on that day!

Added extra: you can scan any type of compatible product on the application: pages from notebooks, flashcards, revision cards …

As you work, remember to scan your notes and put them in a special folder. They’ll be easier to find! Target the 4 markers in the corners to scan your notes.

💡Do you have a tendency to be absent-minded and regularly forget what you need to do ? Don’t panic, scribzee can remind you to scan your index cards every evening or once a week, at your convenience!
